Thoughtful Journey

thoughtful journey

The brand new Thoughtful Journey is unbelievably pretty!!!
This new paper is part of the Thoughtful Journey Suite that will be debuting on the 1st May 2024.

When I have pretty paper like these, I want the paper to be the star of the project.

And anything else must highlight the paper -not dominate the paper.

So, when I was looking through the papers -my eye fell onto this Autumn landscape.

No surprise there really, as it’s Autumn outside here in New Zealand at the moment.

My garden looks exactly like this paper.

SO, let me take you through how I made this card.
If you’re a visual person, you may prefer to watch the Video.

Care Requirements for Thoughtful Journey:

Thick Basic White Cardstock½ sheet of cardstock- score ½ on the short end and cut ½ on the long end
Thoughtful Journey DSP1 sheet cut a little smaller than your card front
Basic White CardstockScraps for your stamped images
SentimentI used the brand new Unbounded Beauty stampset
RibbonI used the brand new Petunia Pop
StaplerI used my retired Stampin’Up! stapler (which by the way uses 10/4 staples)
InkI used Misty Moonlight for the sentiment and Pecan Pie for the wheat
BundleI used the brand new Thoughtful Journey bundle
  • Stamp your sentiment using Pecan Pie ink on your scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut
  • Stamp your sentiment and either die cut or punch out
  • Take your DSP paper and tear it into 3 pieces -alternating the direction of the tear
  • Glue these pieces over your card front -you may need to tear them some more to make them fit properly
  • Add your stamped image(wheat) with dimensionals onto the right hand side of the card
  • Staple the ribbon and stamped sentiment together on the top of the card

And that’s it!

Simple, easy and stunning…

Look out over the next few weeks as I come up with more ideas using the Thoughtful Journey Suite.

These papers are part of the Paper share I’m organising -so if you’re keen to get a sample, consider registering for the paper share.
