Spring is only a few weeks ago -which is the inspiration behind this Spring Bouquet card.
Last week I hauled out Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lolly.
In making last weeks card -I had some blended and embossed cardstock that was my booboo.
So, I decided not to waste it -and I die cut the flowers for this Spring Bouquet card from that piece.
How many of you do that with your scraps or booboo pieces?
I also needed something interesting to show on the background piece of Melon Mambo.

So, I stamped some leaves onto it using Versamark.
The combination of the Paper Florist Dies, Textured Floral Dies and Natural Prints provided me with a variety of leaves.
For the Lemon Lolly flowers in my Spring Bouquet -I die cut them out of basic white cardstock.
Then I applied the ink using my blending brush.
I do love using this technique when making flowers with this die.
I made a video showing you some different looks using the blending brush.
I think this die has so many possibilities!
Did you notice that I die cut the Melon Mambo cardstock on the side using the Basic Borders die?
The ribbon was made using the new white ribbon -the herringbone ribbon.
Personally, I much prefer the now retired Seam Binding Ribbon.
This new ribbon is much wider and I am always having to cut it in half to achieve the looks I’m after.
But hey, I suppose that will mean I need to buy less of it!
I had fun playing with these bright colours and using the scraps from my previous card project.
I wonder what I’ll get up to next?
