Simple Stamping using Layers of Beauty

simple stamping using layers of beauty

Last week I posted one of the projects that I created for my presentation of Layers of Beauty.

This week I’m sharing a project that I designed for simple stamping -again using Layers of Beauty.

I must confess a weakness of mine here – I really struggle to design simple cards.

It’s not that I’m incapable -it’s just that after stamping for 20plus years -you forget what that means.

So, it was such a good exercise for me to do this simple stamped card.

For this card, I used ½ x sheet of A4 cardstock.

I then cut a matte 1/8″ smaller and I used Copper Clay -but you could use any colour you have.

Then the magic…

I cut another piece of Basic White Cardstock 1/8″ smaller than the Copper Clay.

In fact you can cut two pieces of Copper Clay and two pieces of Basic White -and use the second ones inside your card.

I then took my papertrimmer and used the scoring blade to create a “frame” around the Basic White cardstock.

Then I stamped the large rose cluster onto the Basic White cardstock.

Stamping the sentiment from the Layers of Beauty stampset in the matching Copper Clay, I then created a matte with Copper Clay.

A very easy and simply stamped card -with very little product required.

This is ideal for the beginner stamper -or perhaps you’re needing to create a huge amount of invitations.

If you missed the story behind the Layers of Beauty bundle by million dollar sales achiever Shelly Godby, I’m linking it here again.

Look out for more inspiration from me over the next few weeks using this gorgeous bundle!

Happy crafting!
