Have you heard of the post-it note technique? It’s a simple yet effective way to create beautiful blended backgrounds for your cards. And when paired with the Queen Bee bundle, the results are simply buzz-worthy!
For this project, I used the Queen Bee bundle and inkpads in flirty flamingo, coastal cabana, and smokey slate. To start, I tore a post-it note in half and placed it over my cardstock in a diagonal line. I then used a blending brush to add ink to the exposed portion of the paper, starting with the lightest color (smokey slate) and working my way up to the darkest (flirty flamingo).
How to create your post it note card

After removing the post-it note mask, I used the coordinating Queen Bee dies to cut out the leaves and flowers in basic white cardstock. I arranged the die cuts on my card, popping up some of the elements with foam adhesive for added dimension.
The result is a beautiful and unique card that looks like it took much more effort than it did! The Post-It Note Technique is a great way to add interest to your projects without adding complexity.
I love the Queen Bee bundle, and the colors I used for this project really make the images pop. The torn edge of the post-it note adds a softness to the card that complements the floral theme.
