Nothing fancy just love

nothing fancy just love

Nothing fancy, just love – that’s what this card is all about. Using the Two Tone Flora and Something Fancy stamp sets and dies, I created a heartfelt greeting for someone special.

Creating a beautiful card doesn’t always require fancy techniques or expensive supplies. Sometimes, all you need is a little love and the right stamp sets. That’s what inspired me to make this card using the Two Tone Flora and Something Fancy bundles.

How to make this card

To start, I used Petal Pink and Moody Mauve inks for two-step stamping of the flowers from the Two Tone Flora stamp set. I also used Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight for two-step stamping the flowers. The stamping off technique helped me achieve a lighter shade for some of the petals.

The leaves were stamped using Old Olive.

Next, I die cut the flowers and leaves using the coordinating dies from the Two Tone Flora dies. I also used the Something Fancy stampset for the sentiment. I heat embossed “Nothing Fancy just Love” from the Something Fancy stamp set in gold onto a vellum die-cut.

To assemble the card, I layered the flowers and leaves onto a white card base. I used dimensionals to give them dimension. I then added the vellum sentiment and finished it off with some pearl dots that I coloured blue with a dark alcohol ink blend pen.

This card was easy to make, but it turned out beautifully. It’s a reminder that sometimes, less is more, and all you need is a little love and the right stamp sets. The Two Tone Flora and Something Fancy stamps and dies are perfect for creating simple yet stunning cards like this one.

So, if you’re looking to create something beautiful for someone special, remember that you don’t need anything fancy. Just love and the right stamp sets can go a long way. Give it a try, and see what you can create with the Two Tone Flora and Something Fancy sets.

Earlier this week I made another card using Moody Mauve – I think this is going to be a fav colour of mine!!

Happy crafting!
