As a card maker, I’m always on the lookout for new colors and techniques to incorporate into my projects. Hello Moody Mauve you stunner!!
The brand new 2023- 2025 launch of Stampin’Up! In Colours is fast approaching.
What colour is Moody Mauve?
Moody Mauve is a gorgeous, rich shade of purple with hints of gray undertones.
It’s the perfect balance between moody and romantic, and it pairs beautifully with a range of colors from soft pinks to deep greens. And as someone who loves to create moody, romantic cards, this color is right up my alley.
One technique that I’ve been using a lot lately is two-step stamping.
Two step stamping
This technique involves using two different stamps to create one image, with each stamp representing a different layer or element.
For example, I used one stamp to create the outline of a flower and I inked it with Blackberry Bliss, and another stamp to fill in the color and detail.
On two of the flowers I used the brand new colour Bubble Bath.
Using two-step stamping with Moody Mauve has been a game-changer for me.
The color is so versatile that I can use it as either the outline or the fill-in color, depending on the stamp I’m using.
And when paired with other shades of purple, pink, or even navy blue, the effect is stunning.
One of my favorite projects using Moody Mauve and two-step stamping has been this birthday card that I’ve created.
To CASE this card you will need the Two Tone Flora bundle as well as the Something Fancy bundle.
If you’re an avid card maker like me, I highly recommend giving Moody Mauve and two-step stamping a try.
The possibilities are endless, and the results are sure to be stunning.
And with new 2023 colour refresh just hours away, now is the perfect time to start experimenting with this gorgeous new color trend.
I am gifting a FREE 2023 Colour Coach to all that subscribe to my newsletter for the month of May.
Happy crafting!
