Let’s use embossing paste

Hamilton Saturday card class

Looking for a card with a wow factor? Using embossing paste will help…

If you’re part of my mailing list-then you’ll know that I’ve been highlighting the Natures Prints bundle this month.

It’s a gorgeous stamp and die set -and the choices are endless in creating stunning cards.

For this project, I decided to use embossing paste to create the background.

Card requirements for your embossing paste technique

I used a thick basic white cardstock for the card base.

I then cut a smaller size basic white -and that’s the piece I used for the embossing paste.

When using embossing paste, it’s best to use a small amount at a time.

I find using a spatula and silicone craft sheet the easiest way to manage the paste.

You will need a mask of some sort.

Just spread the embossing paste over the mask.

Then gently lift off the mask and allow to dry.

I then set that aside while I carried on with the rest of the card.

The banner at the bottom of the card was embossed and then water washed using Night of Navy.

Add some silver trim to the banner and adhere with tear/tape.

Stamp and die cut the leaves in Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue and Night of Navy.

I coloured the basic rhinestones using a dark Night of Navy blending brush.

I also punched out a circle in vellum.

Once the embossing is dry -adhere to the card base.

You can then glue the water washed panel over the embossed panel.

Now assemble the leaves.

Place the sentiment over the leaves using dimensionals.

And you’re done!

If you enjoyed making this card -I have used the same stamp set to create this card.
