I am really serious when I wrote this headline for this blog. If you’re feeling alone, you need to read this.
This time of the year can be the best or worst time for so many people.
I often reflect on the timing of when we arrived in New Zealand 18 years ago.
Slap bang between Christmas and New Year.
Possibly the worst time of the year some might say.
And then exactly a year later we moved across New Zealand from the west coast to the east coast.
And again, it was during the January school holidays – when everyone is hanging out with someone they know.
Roll on 17 years and this year (and the previous few years have been totally different).
And you might be wondering what has changed?
Probably the most noticeable change has been the incredible community of ladies that have become so dear to my heart.
And how did these ladies become known to me?
Well, almost 3 years ago now (this coming January it will be 3 years), I made the brave decision to step up my card making into a small business (Stamp and Eat was born).
As a result of this decision, I now teach card classes regularly each month. I host annual retreats and I have a team of other demonstrators that share the same love as me.
I feel loved, cherished, supported and understood by the ladies that have come into my world through this venture.
As Sara Douglass (CEO of Stampin’Up!) has said, ” Stampin’Up! is a paper-crafting company with people at its heart.
People make the difference-stamps, ink and paper make it possible.”
If you’re feeling alone – why not reach out and join this beautiful community of women.
It might just change your life.
