Have you tried the Fractured Card Technique before?
It seems like it’s one of those golden oldies that have always been around.
But somehow, I have never got around to learning how to do this technique.
I had another Colour Inkspiration challenge card due to design.
And I’m all about re-purposing material -it’s smart use of my time.
So, I figured why not come up with a design using the Fractured Card Technique for the next CK design.
So, the colours for this next CK design were Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink, Moody Mauve, Coastal Cabana.
Isn’t this inspirational photo just gorgeous?

Well, I decided to try my hand at making a card using the Fractured Card Technique by using the following stamp sets:
- Artistically Inked flower stamped in the Moody Mauve
- Artistically Inked leaf stamped in Lost Lagoon
- Textured Floral flower stamped in Petal Pink
- Textured Floral Leaf stamped in Coastal Cabana
- The dottage stamped in Lemon Lolly
- Birthday Blooms for you sentiment stamped in Moody Mauve
I stamped all of these images and created my own little Designer series paper.
Then I cut a rectangle out of Basic White -placed it on the angle in the middle of my stamped DSP.
I then placed ¼” strips around the square and glued them down.

I decided to stamp the sentiment onto the Basic White square and then I just added some embellishments.
It’s a very easy technique in all honesty and the options are endless as to how you can change the design up.
I hope you’ll give it a try and even think about submitting a design for Colour Inkspiration!
Happy crafting!
