country flowers

The Country Flowers bundle is hot right now!!

I’m seeing vases, pots and flowers everywhere!!!

So, I set myself a challenge.

I wanted to come up with something different -something out of the box.

So I decided to have a play with my Brayer, some “earthy” colours and my alcohol blender pens.

And this is what I came up with!
Let me walk you through what you’ll need to create this card.

Card requirements for Country Flowers

  • Basic Beige Cardstock
  • Copper Clay Cardstock ( 4″ x 8″, scored at 4″ on the long end)
  • Pecan Pie, Copper Clay, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Memento Black/Early Espresso Inks
  • Brayer
  • Country Flowers Stamp Set
  • Of Art and Expression Stampset (online exclusive)
  • 2024-2026 In Colour 6″x6″ DSP
  • Copper Clay, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive Blends
  • Copper Metallic Effects

How to assemble your Card

  • Using your Brayer -ink it up with Pecan Pie ink
  • Apply this to the Basic Beige cardstock
  • Repeat using the Copper Clay and then Crumb Cake inks
  • Stamp your flower urns and flowers in either Memento Black or Early Espresso
  • Stamp the arty stamp in Cajun Craze around the urns
  • Colour in the urns using Copper Clay blends
  • Colour in the leaves using Old Olive blends
  • Colour in the flowers using Pumpkin Pie blends
  • Stamp “flower market” with either Memento Black/Early Espresso
  • Using a paper trimmer, cut out the Basic beige into 3″ x 4″ blocks
  • Adhere a small strip of DSP behind the flower design, using adhesive
  • Adhere this using dimensionals to your Copper Clay card front
  • Apply the Copper metallics effects and allow to dry -approx 20 min

I created this card on a YouTube live last week -you may find it easier to watch the technique here.

This concept is based on a 1-sheet wonder, but with a slight difference.

If you like this sort of arty style, you may wish to look at some of my other posts:

I hope this has inspired you to use the Country Flowers stamp set in a whole different way!

Happy crafting!
