Another CK challenge and this time I had a REAL challenge on my hands!!
This CK #148 combined my least favorite colour -Cajun Craze.
Do you like this colour?
I don’t -BUT I wasn’t going to let my dislike of the colour stop me from the challenge.
So, I took 3 attempts at various different looks to get the card looking right.
And I eventually settled on this design.
And the technique behind the success was using daubers.
I love how using daubers just softens really “harsh” colours.
Well -I find Cajun Craze a little harsh.
It’s not pink or purple -so it will feel harsh.
So, how did I create this CK#148 challenge?
Well, let’s first look at the inspiration from the Crew.

As you can see -the colours were found in this beautiful bird image.
So, I figured I needed a nature scene.
I used the Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight on the leaf design.
The stampset and dieset is Nature’s Prints.

I figured this was the best leaf design that I had in my stash that would create the look I wanted.
Then I stamped the background using the dottage in Pebbled Path onto Pebbled Path.
I used the Basic Black to matte the stamped leaf, as well as to make the sentiment.
I love being part of the Color Inkspiration Team –here’s another card design that may inspire you.
