Abstract beauty brightens the day
This abstract, bright and beautiful card will certainly brighten the day of the person you’re giving it to!
The abstract beauty paper can be found in the current mini catalogue.
It is a very convenient 6″ x 4″ size -so fits easily onto a card front.
What you will need to make the abstract beauty card
You are going to need a cardbase – I cut mine 8 ¼” x 5½” – score at 4 1/8″.
Burnish and set aside.

For this cardbase I used the retiring Stampin Up 2020/2022 Bumblebee cardstock.
You will also need some designer series paper – I used the Abstract Beauty paper.
You will need to cut two pieces from the longer side – 1½” each. Keep the shorter side untouched.
Glue this at the top and bottom of the cardbase

Adding the decoration
Now you’re going to cut another piece of designer series paper 2 3/4″ from the longer side. Don’t cut the short side!

I used the basic
borders die to create the zigzag pattern on the top and bottom of the paper.
This creates a little bit of interest -but you can also just leave the paper as is, if you prefer.
Glue this onto the front of the card.

Bringing it all together
The next thing you need is a sentiment.
I used a retired Sale-a-bration sentiment -but find one on your stash that matches with the theme of the card.
I was very thrilled with the saying on mine – “thanks for brightening up my day”. These bright and cheerful colours do just that -especially with some abstract beauty added to the mixture!

Using my Versamark, I stamped the image onto black cardstock – and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder and my heat tool.
Then I used black dimensionals to stick it right in the middle of the card.

The last thing that it needed was a little bit of bling -so I glued down a bumblebee trinket. The bumblebee trinkets are also retiring at the end of the month.
You can have a look here and see if there are any left on the Last Chance List.

So, there you have abstract beauty to brighten your day.

Until next time!
