Some of my favorite cards to make are those for my family.
This special train card was made recently for our eldest grandson’s third birthday.
He absolutely loves spiderman and trains -so why not mix them up together?
You will probably notice that this card has very little Stampin’Up! stamps and dies used.
Cricut to the rescue to make this special train card
I didn’t have anything Spiderman or train related stamps in my stash – so I turned to Charlie.
Charlie, for those of you who haven’t yet met her -is my Cricut Maker 3.
She’s a hard worker in my craft room -and I love using her to make all kinds of papercraft projects.
For this special train card -I used a SVG file that I found on Creativ Fabrica.
This website is AMAZING value if you’re a crafter of any kind.
There are fonts, graphics, sewing patterns, you name it…
I even find my sublimation prints on here for my mugs and tumblers that I make on commission.
I used Stampin’Up! cardstock for this project though -as the quality of the cardstock is far better than what you can buy anywhere else.
The colour choice for the train
The colours I used were Daffodil Delight, Azure Afternoon, Real Red, Basic White and Black and Smokey Slate.
It was pretty easy to glue everything together.
I used a retired balloon punch for the balloon, some sweet sorbet twine and then the Classic Letters Stampset for the 3.
The Classic Letters stampset can be found in the currrent Online Exclusives tab.

If you’re wondering how I made the baby spiderman for this special card – I used the print and cut function on Charlie.
Recently I hosted a mid winter bring and share dinner for the card class ladies/families.
Here’s a photo of the lanterns that Charlie made for the tables:

And here’s another photo of the projects I made for the ladies that came on retreat in May.
I sublimated their mugs and used Charlie to cut out the pieces for the cards and bags.
Ain’t she a clever lady!!

I love doing fun things in my craft room -and making special train cards is just one of them!
Happy crafting!
