This is a very quick card to make using the New Horizons Paper
If you’re after a very quick card that you can whip up in under 15 minutes -then look no further than the New Horizons designer series paper.
I fell in love with this paper the first time I saw it during a demonstrator only event late in 2021 (another good reason to be a demonstrator!)
I loved how the backgrounds were already all water-painted for me.
So, in this quick card (inspired by my upline Jacque Williams) I have combined the Horizons Dies and the Wildflower path stamp set.
Both of these can be found in the January – June 2022 mini catalogue.

What you will need for your quick card
Basic white thick cardstock cut 5½” x 8 ¼”- score at 4 1/8″ – set aside
Designer series paper – cut 5 3/8″ x 4″
New Horizons paper – cut 5 1/8″ x 3 3/4″
Wildflower path stampset
Horizon Dies
Stitched rectangle dies
Linen thread
Shimmer vellum (optional)
Dimensionals
Glue
Tear and tape
Ink colours of choice – I used mossy meadow for the flower stalks, mango melody and calypso coral for the flowers. Evening evergreen for the sentiment
Assembling your card using the New Horizons Paper will be done in no time!
Glue the larger of the designer series paper onto your card base.
Then using your chosen print from the New Horizons paper – stamp the flower stalks from the Wildflower path in mossy meadow.
I then stamped the flowers that matched the flower stalk -using a combination of calypso coral and mango melody.
After stamping the flowers, I then stamped the “grass” using evening evergreen.
The next thing was to die cut out the area in the paper where my sentiment would go.
I used the stitched rectangle dies for this part.
I then stamped the sentiment onto the diecut piece.
The sentiment was also from the wild flower stampset – I used evening evergreen as the inkcolour.
I then chose to die cut some trees out of shimmer vellum -but you can leave this step out, if you prefer.
The next thing was to wrap the linen thread around my fingers – I did this three times.
You will need some tear and tape to adhere the thread down.
I then put dimensionals onto the back of the sentiment, popped that back into the space cut out
And my card was all finished!

I hope this inspires you to look at the New horizons paper in the mini catalogue!
They will only be available until the 30th June.
Until next time!
